Hospice care can be provided in many settings, including one’s own home. The choice of setting should reflect the needs of the patient and his or her family. The goal is relief of pain, comfort and support as a patient travels the last stage of life as well as providing comfort and support to loved ones. Learn more about hospice care.
Families appreciate the bereavement support they receive at Ruth Hospice, both during the illness and after the death of their loved one. Ruth Hospice accepts Medicare and Medicaid payments. Many private insurance companies also provide a hospice benefit and pay for hospice care.
Daily Life at Ruth Hospice
Family and friends are welcome at any time of day or night. Each private room is designed to provide a comfortable and serene atmosphere and includes a recliner for a family member to stay the night. A family suite is available for overnight accommodation at our Mill Road location.
A large sunroom allows patients to stay connected with the outdoors no matter the season. Meals are individually determined by the patient’s likes and dislikes and served when they are hungry, not on a schedule. Families and guests are welcome to join their loved one for a meal for a nominal fee.
