What is VMP Foundation?
We are a non-profit organization incorporated in 1975 independent of the VMP Healthcare & Community Living facilities.
VMP Foundation is managed by a community-based volunteer Board of Directors empowered to receive, manage and invest gifted assets. In consultation with the donor, these monetary resources may be directed to any VMP programs, projects or facilities.

VMP Foundation supports VMP and members of our community by raising awareness and soliciting philanthropic dollars to benefit services and programs within various established funds. We welcome your support. Some of these special funds include:
Benevolent Care Endowment Fund
VMP provides support each year to residents who have exhausted their financial resources. Through the Benevolent Care Fund, VMP Foundation provides a source of private financial support, paying for care required when Medicare, Medicaid or personal funds are unavailable.
Patient/Resident Quality of Life & Environment Fund
It is the mission of VMP to continue to make improvements, renovations and enhancements to VMP facilities that will benefit our residents and patients. Financial support to this fund helps us to maintain our unique community where exceptional care is provided and seniors experience the privacy, dignity and comfort they deserve.
Donations to this fund will also allow VMP to maintain and improve quality programs and projects that offer entertainment, educational and social opportunities.
Pastoral Care Endowment Fund
VMP has a rich tradition in the pastoral care of older adults. Religious in its origin (United Methodist) and serving the greater Milwaukee area for more than 90 years, VMP today serves people from all denominations and church affiliations. VMP views pastoral care as an integral part of an older person's overall healthcare. It is as important as treating physical, psychological and emotional afflictions.
Our residents and patients are served by 4 full time chaplains. VMP is one of a few sites in the continental United States that offer a Clinical Pastoral Education program training individuals the skills for ministry in long term care facilities.
Donations to this fund help maintain and improve the chaplaincy services at VMP.
Senior Solutions Fund
VMP Foundation supports programs and projects that impact and improve the quality of life and care for all older adults. Our goal is to help seniors remain independent and active by sharing our expertise through educational and social programs focused on health and wellness. The Senior Solutions Fund was created to support programs that actively address healthcare issues in our community and build partnerships to bring more nurses, physicians, dentists and other healthcare professionals into the field of geriatrics. The Foundation is building awareness of the need for educating, training and recruiting caregivers into the field of geriatrics.
