Residents, family, friends, and staff are invited to walk around the VMP block at their leisure!

Join us anytime from 10:00am-12:30pm to walk, walk, walk! Whether you walk the mile around campus or take shortcuts on VMP sidewalks, you are still supporting Team VMPcares and the Alzheimer’s Association in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

Show your support by wearing something purple, the signature color of the Alzheimer’s Association! Along the route, look for painted rocks with inspirational messages.

Refreshments & Rest Stops will be available at the employee parking lot off Beloit Rd & Aurora Clinic off Oklahoma Ave.

Donations are welcomed at the rest stops — cash or checks to the Alzheimer’s Association are accepted. If you are unable to attend the walk, but would still like to contribute please donate online at http://act.alz.org/goto/VMPcares.

Starting Routes:

Wesley Park – 8621 W. Beloit Rd entrance, head east to 84th St.

Palmer House – Serenity Garden & head south to Oklahoma Ave.

Maplewood – start at MW entrance & walk to Beloit Rd then east to 84th
